Overview

 

Our client is a leading insurance organisation and looking for a Data Engineer/MLOps Engineer to join their Customer Science team. They are a multi-award-winning team that is passionate about driving better customer and commercial outcomes. They use data to understand customers so they can be more relevant and take better actions.  

Their Engineers focus on robust delivery of reliable, high-quality data and the Data Scientists will use it to power their machine learning products. They build and manage scalable, reliable data pipelines following MLOps principles to integrate and optimise AI/ML data products.  Hands on experience is great, however if you’re a recent graduate with a good understanding of requested languages we’d still like to hear from you.

This is a great job for someone who is passionate about creating AI/ML data solutions that help the business understand their customers better and inform business decisions. They will enjoy partnering with colleagues in data and technology to design, build and embed effective AI/ML data pipelines. They will be passionate about solving problems, delivering great results and making a difference to customers.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

 

• Educated to degree or post-graduate level, in a numerate /programming-oriented subject, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through industry experience.
• Proven track record productionising data pipelines at scale
• Hands-on experience or understanding of: Python, Spark (e.g., PySpark, Spark tuning, Spark UI); Data Engineering technologies and principles (e.g., Data Lakes, Batch/Streaming); Cloud technologies and principles (e.g., Kubernetes, EMR, S3)
• Understanding of ML principles (e.g., feature engineering, training/testing, hyperparameters, deep learning, model management)
• Agile mindset and experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with Marketing technology (e.g., Adobe)
