Overview:
This role forms part of the Siemens Energy sector and is the world’s leading supplier of products, services and solutions for power generation and compression. Its extensive portfolio comprises highly efficient technologies for thermal power plants, renewables, power transmission and for the extraction, processing and transport of oil and gas.

Responsibilities:
- Execute the projects to meet the required standard of quality (time, budget, functionality) and ensure business success
- Planning and safe delivery of all outages, overseeing the delivery of work-packs, RAMS & Plans while maintaining, and developing mitigation strategies for all pre-identified or emerging risks. Planning and execution to be in accordance with Siemens Energy Project Excellence
- Act as the customer’s single point of contact for management of the Mods & Ups projects and work closely with regional entities
- Identify appropriate resources needed and ensure that these resources are sufficiently provided to the project
- Assemble a project team and assign individual responsibilities
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute outages, including management of part deliveries, seizing upsell opportunities and implementing risk mitigation measures where required
- Create and maintain documentation according to our quality management process
- Build, grow and maintain strong customer & regional relationships
- Set an example in driving zero harm culture
- Proactively providing feedback and suggestions on process & business improvement and cost reduction
- Briefing of all personnel who shall travel to the Customer site. Conduct close monitoring of their activities whilst deployed, coordinate appropriate levels of support from technical functions, review and approve of all timesheets, the recording of non-productive time and maintain the reconciliation of spend ‘v’ PO cover as jobs unfold.
- Monitor and track the close-out of engineering related issues
- Maintain an up-to-date account of all orders contract, commercial and logistical issues associated with an outage and track through until payment is received
- Coordinate and conduct an after-action reviews and lessons learned post outage and ensure these are fed back into the business
Experience & Skills:
- Educated to MSc level, preferably project management or a business or engineering related subject
- A prior customer management role is essential
- Project management experience in the Oil & Gas or Power Generation Industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Siemens Energy Project Excellence would be advantageous
- APM, PRINCE2 or PMI qualifications are desirable
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Logical thinking and creative problem-solving ability
- Experience of managing high performing project teams is desirable
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work well with others and lead a team
- Experience of managing and mitigating key project risks
- Customer focused approach
