Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with professional experience in a customer-facing environment. The role involves working closely with both internal and external partners to ensure the efficient flow and management of data, driving improvements, and implementing data-driven solutions
Responsibilities
Data Support Services:
- Manage ad-hoc business data requests and regular reporting.
- Ensure data quality and create new data supply chains.
- Validate, input, and update data across various systems.
- Serve as the process owner for various data supply chains, managing and ensuring their performance to agreed service levels using effective metrics.
Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to ensure a constant and timely flow of information.
Improvement Initiatives:
- Lead improvement projects and initiatives, focusing on digitalization, systematization, and automation processes.
- Deliver improvement projects, particularly in the areas of digital systems and automation.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analysis and reporting BI tools, especially Tableau.
- Employ advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Use Tableau, Qlikview, AWS, SQL, SAP, Salesforce, and database management tools for data analysis.
Process Development:
- Participate in the development and implementation of processes to ensure data quality.
- Take an active role in ensuring data handled in the department is accurate and up-to-date.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- Academic degree in Information Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing environment with either external or internal customers.
- Proven track record of delivered improvement initiatives/projects, preferably in digital/systems/automation.
- Proficient in standard office tools (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting BI tools, especially Tableau.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Qlikview, AWS, SQL, SAP, Salesforce, and database management.
- Clear and efficient communicator with excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to understand and adapt quickly to new business environments and processes.
- Strong analytical mind-set with the ability to make logical connections and understand the big picture.
- Proactive, well-organized, and result-focused approach.
- Able to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions in a diverse, international environment.
- Passionate about data-driven solutions and curious about data, information, and emerging digital trends.
